Norma Bertha (Vierra) Simpson, age 81 of Riverside Drive, Tiverton, Rhode Island, went home to the Lord on March 6, 2012.  She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Lloyd Simpson. Born in Tiverton, she was the daughter of the late Frank Vierra and Bertha (Clark) (Vierra) Sisson. Norma is survived by her eight children: Joanne and her husband Stephen J. DelDeo, Sheila M., wife of the late Seabury B. Waring, Eric L. Simpson and his wife Laurie, Barry A. Simpson and his wife Andrea, Lloyd D. Simpson and his wife Colleen, Maura L. and her husband Jaime K. DeGala, Grant E. Simpson and his wife Christine, and Rosemary and her husband Sean Ford; 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Mrs. Hugh J. Markey Jr, Roger F. Vierra, and the late Lawrence Vierra. A life long resident of Tiverton, she dedicated her life to loving and caring for her large family in every imaginable way. Norma attended Sacred Heart Academy in Fall River and was a daily communicant of Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption. She was a participant in both The People of God’s Love and The Bread of Life prayer groups. Visitation FRIDAY 4-8 PM.  Her Funeral will be held SATURDAY at 9 AM from the POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI with a 10 AM Mass at St Christopher’s Church, Tiverton.  Burial at Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.  Donations may be made to St. Christopher's Church, Tiverton. www.almeida-pocasset.com
