Peter Francis Farias, 34, lifelong resident of Tiverton, passed away on July 22, 2012, at his home on Sawdy Pond. He was the beloved son of Pamela J. Steele (Fennelly) (partner of Herman Martin) of Bristol, and Gary J Farias (husband of Susan E. Kent) of Tiverton. Pete was the loyal brother of Christopher J Farias , (husband of Jennifer A Farias (Parent)) also of Tiverton, and the proud uncle to their son James R Farias. Peter is also survived by his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. In 1996 Peter graduated from Tiverton High School where he excelled on both the soccer and tennis teams. He also graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology from Bridgewater State College. Peter was an accomplished musician, vocalist and bassist who’s musical achievements included opening for the Spin Doctor’s and being part of a strong line of family musicians. Also an avid outdoorsman, Peter enjoyed nothing more than fishing on Sawdy Pond and blazing the trails on his mountain bike. Peter shared his love for tennis as an instructor at The Grist Mill Pool and Tennis Club. He was also employed as a cook at the Luxury Box Sports Bar & Grille. Peter’s family asks that you join them in celebrating his life on August 24, 2012 at Noon at St Theresa’s Church 265 Stafford Rd Tiverton, RI. In lieu of flowers donations to the Peter Farias Memorial Fund can be sent to PO Box 361 Tiverton, RI 02878. All proceeds to benefit the creation of a Serenity Garden at the Bliss Four Corners Church, Tiverton, RI. Peter had a deep love and knowledge for all things Beatles, even naming his beloved ferrets Harrison and Winston. Beatles attire is encouraged, by the family, for the memorial service.
