Anna (Cabral) Ponte 95 of Fall River, formerly of Bright St., died on Sunday, May 22, 2011. She was the wife of the late John J. Ponte Jr. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Marianne (deMello) Cabral Silveira and Joseph M. Cabral. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a Presser in the Garment Industry and was a member of the former Cosmopolitan Club. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. She was the mother of the late John Ponte III. She is survived by a daughter-in-law Cecile J. Ponte of Tiverton and 3 grandaughters, Michelle A. Bailey of Middletown, RI, Cheryl A. Senra of Lakeville, Susan A. Abrantes of Fall River and 7 greatgrandchildren, Michael, Hannah, Christian, John, Tyler, Katelyn and Meghan. In addition, she leaves a nephew Joseph Cabral, a niece Carol Soares and greatnieces and greatnephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel Cabral. Visitation WEDNESDAY 5-8 PM. Her Funeral will be held THURSDAY at 9am from the A F ALMEIDA & SON FUNERAL HOME 1309 Globe St, Fall River with 10am Mass at Holy Trinity Church.
