Antone S. Medeiros 87 of Tiverton passed away Jan. 7th at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Alice E. (Rego) Medeiros for 61 years. Born in Westport, MA, he was the son of the late Francisca (Faria) and John Soares. He had worked as a Carpenter for Union 1305. He had served in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW Post 8502 of Westport, MA. In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter Joanne Cook (Husband John) and a son John Medeiros, all of Tiverton. He also leaves 2 granddaughters Allyson Cook and Sarah Castanho along with 2 greatgrandsons John Antone and James Joseph Castanho. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 2 sisters Frances Coelho of FLA and Eliza Quintal of Westport. He was predeceased by brothers John, Johnny and Manuel Medeiros and sisters Mary Coelho, Antoinette Brule, Isabel Boore, Louisa Sousa, Agnes Medeiros and his twin Irene Alvarnaz. Visitation FRIDAY 6-8 PM. His Funeral will be held SATURDAY at 8am from the POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI with a 9am am Mass at Holy Ghost Church .
