Arline (Verville) Griffiths 71 of Portsmouth, RI, passed away peacefully with her family by her side late Tuesday night. She was the wife of Thomas Griffiths Jr. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Yolande (Lincourt) and Alfred Verville. She affected many lives, running a childcare center out of her home in the Common Fence Point area of Portsmouth for many years. Her legacy, though, is her close-knit family — her husband; her sons Scott (married to Kathleen), Mark (married to Pamela), and Sean (married to Valerie); and her daughter Kim Katz (married to Justin). She also leaves 11 precious grandchildren. All live within a few short miles, in Portsmouth and Tiverton.
Visitation SATURDAY morning prior to the funeral, from 8:30 to 10:30am, at the POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME (462 Main Rd, Tiverton), with a funeral Mass at 11am at St Christopher's Church (1554 Main Road, Tiverton) and burial at Newport Memorial Park, Middletown.
