Arthur C. Furtado 84 of Fall River, Mass passed away Sunday April 28, 2013 A lifelong resident of Fall River he was a son of the late Jacintho and Rose (DaPonte) Furtado. He served with the U S ARMY during the Korean conflict from 1951 - 1952. He retired as the dietary supervisor of Corrigan Health Facility. Arthur was the sexton and caretaker of the Our Lady of Angels Church for many years and a member of the OLOA Holy Name society. He is survived by 3 sisters Irene Furtado, Anna Furtado, Emily Cordeiro all of Fall River, a brother Jesse Furtado of Somerset, and several neices, nephews. He was a brother of the late John C., Joseph C., Manuel C., Rose, Dolly, Furtado and Mary Mello . His Funeral will be on Wednesday at 9 am from A F Almeida & Son Funeral Home 1309 Globe St Fall River, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at Good Shepherd Church at 10:00 AM Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery with Military Honors.
