Beatrice (Ravenelle) Riley 91, formerly of Tiverton, RI, passed away on May 8th. She was the wife of the late Benjamin F. Riley and the late Roland Theodore Jean. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Helene (Laferte) and William Ravanelle. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a sewing machine operator at Chase curtains. Following retirement, she worked at the Christmas Tree Shop. She also voluntered at St. Anne's Hospital for 10 years.
She was a member of St. Theresa's Church and the Royal Travelers. Beatrice was also an animal lover.
She is survived by a son Edmond R. Jean (wife Jean) of Danbury, CT, a daughter Joyce Zerbus (husband Joseph) of Portsmouth, RI and son Raymond L. Jean (wife Doreen) of Tiverton. She was the mother of the late Richard R. Jean. In addition she had 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Helen Zarlenga and Jeanette Longchamps,
Visitaton will be prior to the funeral on Saturday from 9 to 10:30am at the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home
462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI with a Mass at 11am at St. Theresa's Church, Tiverton. Burial at Hillside Cemetery.
