Carmen (Rioux) Ponte 91 of Tiverton passed away on March 13, 2014.  She was the wife of the late
John Edward Ponte for 62 years.  She was the daughter of Wilbrod and Yvonne Rioux.  She is the mother of the late John, and is survived by sons Kenneth and Clifford Ponte and daughter in law
Deborah and Denise, as well as grandsons Clifford and Timothy.  Carmen is survived by her sister Florence Brodeur and her sister Fernand and brother Wilbrod Jr., Raymond, and Gerard who have passed.  She worked for many years at Edgar's Department Store.  Carmen was an excellent cook
and deep reader of fiction and prose.  She will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.
A Roman Catholic Funeral Mass will be held in her honor at 10AM, WEDNESDAY March 19th at Holy Ghost Parish in Tiverton.  Calling Hours and eulogy are at POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME
