Obituary

Catherine Marie (Riley) Furtado 79 of Tiverton, RI and formerly of Fall River, MA passed away on November 19, 2020. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Yvonne (Gagne) and John Riley. She was the widow of George Furtado. Catherine had worked as a Manager/Supervisor at Aetna Insurance and a communicant of St Theresa's Parish. Catherine was a kind woman with an adventurous spirit, who enjoyed traveling, painting, and writing. She often drove the coastline to beaches and parks and never passed up a good cup of coffee. Above all else, Catherine valued time with her family, friends, and cherished dog Rylee. She captured every outing, gathering, and milestone in photographs and poured her creative soul and big heart into crafting books of memories for her loved ones. She will be forever loved, appreciated, and deeply missed by all those left behind. She is survived by a daughter Cheryl Furtado and a son Christopher Furtado (wife Diane) and her grandchildren are the late Corey Leite, Richard Pereira, Caitlyn Riley, Casey Furtado, Corinne Furtado, Christopher Sadlers, Alyssa Bouchard, and Cody Braz. Great grandchildren are Ravenna, Emma, Logan, Avery, Cayden, Lauren, Ariana and Ethan. She also leaves a partner Billy Destremps and a niece Deborah Riley, along with several nieces and nephews. Her siblings are James Riley, John Riley and the late Clifford Riley. Arrangements are with the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI . www.almeida-pocasset.com
