Charles S. "Chip" Leonard 65 of New Bedford, MA passed away on Nov. 6th.  Born in Taunton, MA, he was the son of the late Harriett C. "Dolly" (DaRosa) and Charles I. Leonard.  Chip had worked as a Prison guard for 30 years at the Norfolk prison prior to his retirement.  He was an avid golfer and a lifetime member of the Allendale Country Club.  He was also an avid fisherman.  Chip had been a member of St. Joseph's Church in Taunton.  He is survived by his fiance Lisa Silvia of Westport, MA, a sister Linda Lamoureaux (Husband Bob) of Florida and 2 brothers Michael Leonard (Wife Paula) of South Carolina and Jeffrey Leonard (wife Lisa) of Plymouth.  He also leaves several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A Memorial Mass to celebrate his life will be held on  Saturday, Nov. 13th, 2021  at  10:30 am at  Our Lady of Grace Church on Sanford Rd, Westport, MA. www.almeida-pocasset.com for on line guest book.  Arrangements are with the A F Almeida & Son Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in his memory.
