Charles S. Silvia 88 years old, of Tiverton, RI, died at home Monday night July 15 with his family present.
He was the husband of the late Emmie (Daley) Silvia and the son of the late Joseph M. and Gertrude (Smith)
Silvia. Born in Tiverton and raised in Fall River, MA, he was the father of Charles T. Silvia of Tiverton, RI,
Michael E. Silvia and his wife Kathy of Tiverton, RI, along with Diane Silvia Farias and her husband Gary
of Swansea, MA. He was the brother of the late Joseph M. Silvia, his wife Helen of Hibbing, MN and the late Frank Silvia, his wife Sally of Somerset, MA. He is also survived by a granddaughter Jessica (Silvia) Ouellette
& husband David of Somerset, MA and a grandson Jonathan A. Silvia & wife Stephanie of Bristol, RI, along with 2 greatgrandsons Eric David and Sean Michael Ouellette. He also has many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Silvia was a WWII veteran having served in Europe with the G Company 504 parachute infantry battalion of the 82nd airborne infantry regiment. Mr. Silvia worked for the former Globe Manufacturing for 27 years before retiring in 1987. He was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church in Tiverton, RI.
Visitation THURSDAY 5-8 PM. His Funeral will be held FRIDAY at 9am from the POCASSET MEMORIAL
