Christine A. Whalen, 70, of Tiverton, died peacefully on December 16, 2025 at Newport Hospital.  She was the loving wife of Clifford J. Whalen, Sr.  Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Robert King and Anne (Pryharski) King.

Mrs. Whalen was employed as a cashier supervisor with Stop & Shop in Middletown for many years.  She was a Communicant of Holy Ghost Church.  A talented artist, Christine enjoyed painting, crafting, and beads.  She loved music and film.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her loving son, Benjamin C. Whalen of Tiverton.  She was the mother of the late Clifford J. Whalen, Jr. and sister of the late Robert King.  She also leaves her loving nephew, Robert King, Jr. of Lincoln and her cousin, Terri Phelps of Colorado.

Her Funeral will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 10:00 AM from the POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 462 Main Road, Tiverton, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Holy Ghost Church, 316 Judson Street, Tiverton.  Burial will be private.

Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
