Daniel P. Araujo 90 of Fall River,passed away peacefully on Monday after a long courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Vera M. (Mendoza) Araujo. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Ermelinda (Vigaro) and Antonio Pacheco. Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a Clerk for Alpert Brothers Wholesale. He had served in the U.S.Army and was a WWII and Korean War Veteran. Mr. Araujo was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. In addition to his wife, he leaves 2 daughters Vera Baldwin (husband Kenneth) and Brenda Araujo- Barbour (husband Pierre Barbour) along with his grandchildren Daniel Baldwin (wife Jill), Cynthia Baldwin Reed (husband Robert) and Alexander Barbour.
Great grandchildren are Ella Baldwin, Ethan Baldwin and Charlotte Reed. He also leaves a sister Hilda Machado and was the brother of the late John Pacheco Sr., Lena Machado and Evelyn Botelho. Vistation Monday from 9 to 10:30am at the A F Almeida & Son Funeral Home 1309 Globe St., Fall River prior to Funeral Mass at 11am at Holy Trinity Church.
