Diamentina (Arruda) Perry, 97 better known as Emily, of Fall River, died on Feb. 12th. She was the widow of Manuel Perry Sr. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Mary (Medeiros) Arruda. A communicant of Holy Ghost Church, she had previously worked as a Spooler at the Bristol Knitting Mills. She was an avid traveler, she enjoyed camping at Ellis Haven Campground. She is survived by 2 sons Manuel Perry Jr. (Companion JoAnn Corey)
of Portsmouth, RI and Robert Perry (wife Jacqueline) of Barrington, NH and her grandchildren Kevin Perry (Wife Joyce),along with step grandchildren Brandon Corey and Ana Corey. In addition, she leaves 2 greatgrandchildren Jake and Valerie Perry, a sister Elsie Giasson and a brother Arthur Arruda of Tiverton and a brother Joseph Arruda of Plainville, MA and 9 nieces , 5 nephews and 8 greatnephews, 1 greatniece. She was the sister of the late Irene Valentine, Mary Pedro, Dennis Arruda, John Arruda and Manuel Arruda.
Visitation TUESDAY 5-8PM. Her Funeral will be held WEDNESDAY at 9am from the POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI with a 10am Mass at Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton at 10am.
