Donna (Furtado) Thomas 75 of Swansea, MA, passed away on Sept. 10, 2024.  She was the widow of Daniel Thomas.  Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Hilda (Silva) and Edward Furtado.  She had worked as a telephone operator for Verizon and later at the Fall River Municipal Credit Union and as a pharmacy technician at Rite Aid.
She is survived by a daughter Jennifer Sommers (Husband Michael) and son Matthew Thomas (Wife Holly). She also leaves her grandchildren Paige Sommers and Noah Sommers.  In addition, she leaves her siblings Richard Furtado and Christine Ramos.  She was the sister of the late Edward Furtado Jr. and Pamela Taylor.  She also leaves her beloved Coco Chanel.   She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, knitting, cooking, baking and making lap blankets for chemo patients.  She also enjoyed going to the casino with friends.

Her Mass will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 24th at 10am at St Louis de France Church 56 Buffington St., Swansea, MA at 10am.  Arrangements are with the A F Almeida & Son Funeral Home 1309 Globe St., Fall River, MA.
