Elaine Ferreira (Alfonso) Valcourt 70 of Westport, where she lived for over 40 years passed away on Saturday, Feb. 2nd. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Costa) and Jesse Alfonso. She had formerly worked as L.P.N. at the Fall River Nursing Home for about 17 years and later at Tavares Pediatric in Providence for approximately 20 years. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and cooking. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. She also enjoyed the theatre and was a long-time subscriber to PPAC. Spending time with her family was especially important and she is survived by her children Linda Klingner of California, Matthew Valcourt of Florida, Steven Valcourt of Berkley, MA and Brian Valcourt of Westport, MA. She also leaves 4 grandchildren, Julia, Lucas, Dakota & Amber and sisters Dorothy Costa of Plymouth, MA, Lorraine Lafrance of Westport, MA along with many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel "Mac" Ferreira and Mae Costa. Visitation FRIDAY 2-4 & 7-9 PM. at the A F ALMEIDA & SON FUNERAL HOME 1309 Globe St, Fall River, MA.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established a scholarship in Elaine's name at Diman Regional School of Practical Nursing.
