ELVIRA SOUZA

Elvira "Eva" (Farias) Souza 83 of Plymouth Ave., Fall River, died on Wednesday. She was the wife of the late Manuel P. Souza. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Filomena (Amorin) and Manuel Farias. She had worked as a L.P.N. at the former Fall River General Hospital. She was a recipient of the Marion Medal while a parishioner at the former Our Lady of Health Parish. After its closing, she became a member of Espirito Santo Parish. She is survived by her children Robert Souza of Fall River, Geraldine Mathieu of Dartmouth, Rosemary Souza of Fall River and Kenneth Souza of Fairhaven. She also leaves 9 grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren. She was the mother of the late Linda Mathieu and sister of the late Joseph Farias. Visitation SUNDAY 4-8 PM. Her Funeral will be held on MONDAY at 8am from the A F ALMEIDA & SON FUNERAL HOME 1309 Globe St, Fall River with a 9am Mass at Espirito Santo Church.
