Ernest T. Velozo Sr. 77 of Fall River, passed away on July 7, 2021.  He was the husband of Linda M. (Buchanan) Velozo.  Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Charles V. and Mary (Rogers) Velozo.  He had served in the US ARMY during the Vietnam Era and was a member of the American Legion Post 0314.  Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a Contract Specialist II for the Mass. Highway Dept and for Public Works prior to that.  In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter Colleen  St Onge (Larry) and a son Ernest T. Velozo Jr., along with Stephanie Lynn Santos (Michael) whom he raised.  Ernest also leaves 7 grandchildren Nichole, Ashley, Natasha, Jarod, Zackary, Illias and Islyn. and 3 great grandchildren JJ, Xander and Sephora, along with  a sister Ruth Zimmer.  He was the brother of the late  Charles V. Velozo and Thomas Velozo.  There are several nieces and nephews. Ernest was a member of the Corky Row Club.

He was an avid follower of J.J.'s baseball and Natasha's soccer teams.  Visitation  Tuesday  from 6 to 9 PM.  His Funeral will be held on  Wednesday at 9am  from the A F Almeida & Son Funeral Home 1309 Globe St., Fall River, MA with a 10 am Mass at Good Shepherd Church.  Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery.   www.almeida-pocasset.com for on line guest book.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institue,
