Evelyn M. McBroom 82, of Tiverton, passed away on Sept. 27th after a brief illness. She was the wife of Charles M. McBroom. Born in Tiverton, she was the daughter of the late Eunice (Mello) and Joseph Oliveira. Prior to her retirement in 1993, she had worked as a Quality Control Inspector for Raytheon. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, wildlife and fishing.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Paul Zielke (Wife Susan), Mary Aguiar (Husband Steven), Gail Flick (Husband Mark) and Alan Zielke. She also leaves her grandchildren Christina, Jonathan, Justin, April, Angela, Jason, Ryan and Amanda. Great grandchildren are Dylan, Aaron, Riley and Logan. She is also survived by a sister Nancy Paquette and was the sister of the late Joseph "Buddy" Oliveira and Helen Heywood.
