Gabriel R. Cordeiro, 76, of Tiverton, died peacefully at home on May 29, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.  He was the loving husband of Barbara A. (Scagnelli) Cordeiro.  Born in Tiverton, he was a son of the late Antone Cordeiro & Constance (Mello) Cordeiro.

Mr. Cordeiro was a supervisor with the National Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 29 and with National Grid until his retirement.   He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Cold War.  He was a Communicant of St. Theresa Church, volunteer for the Paralyzed Veterans of America and loved working in his yard and watching sports.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his loving children: Richard G. Cordeiro & his wife Cindy of Tiverton and Cerina C. Andrade & her husband Peter of Tiverton.  Cherished grandfather of Richard G. Cordeiro, Jr., Peter G. Andrade, & Alexis C. Andrade, all of Tiverton.  He was the brother of Constance Cabral of Tiverton and the late Cerina Durtra & David Cordeiro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 10:00 am in St. Theresa Church, 265 Stafford Road, Tiverton.  Burial will be private.  Calling hours are respectfully omitted.  In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, P.O. Box 758589, Topeka, KS 66675 will be appreciated.  Arrangements have been entrusted to POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 462 Main Road, Tiverton.
