Obituary

Genevieve (Morrow) Harrison, 92, of Tiverton, RI and Fall River, passed away at South Pointe Nursing Home on December 23, 2013. Born in Fall River on October 31, 1921, she was the widow of Omer D. Harrison and the daughter of the late James and Rosilda (Picard) Morrow, and sister of the late Jacqueline Morrow.
Genevieve is survived by her daughter, Judith M. Harrison and her spouse, Priscilla Bates, and nephew
John Morrow.
Genevieve attended Fall River parochial schools and was a graduate of the Dominican Academy, class of 1940. She was employed as bookkeeper for many years. A woman of great faith, she was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish.
She will be remembered as an extraordinarily loving, kind, and patient woman. Genevieve loved spending time with family and friends, especially while celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and the holidays.
Beloved wife of Omer, Genevieve was the inspiration for the rhododendron garden created by her husband. Genevieve loved to crochet and was an avid reader and crossword puzzle solver.
Genevieve was cared for by so many wonderful people in the past few years. The family is grateful
for the staff at South Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the excellent care she received while she
resided there. The family is also grateful for all the friends who shared in the Harrison family journey and
supported us with prayers, positive thoughts, and presence.
In addition to her daughter, Genevieve is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her dear friends Mike Neronha and his mother, Barbara Neronha, Del Dyer, and Theresa Carlow.
