George Brilhante 93 of Fall River, passed away on October 24th. He was the husband of Hilda (Soares) Brilhante. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Anna (Pacheco) and Joseph Brilhante.
A Lieutenant with the Fall River Fire Dept., prior to his retirement, he worked with Engine 2 at the Central Station. He reported for duty in 1958 and retired in January of 1986. He had served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Brilhante was a member of Good Shepherd Parish. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Barbara Borges, 2 grandchildren Kristen Hoffman and Scott Borges. He also leaves 6 great grandchildren and 3 greatgreat grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday Nov. 3rd from 10 to 11am at the A F Almeida & Son Funeral Home 1309 Globe St., Fall River with an 11am Service in the Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Notre Dame Mausoleum. www,almeida-pocasset.com for on line guestbook.
