George W. Mullins Jr. 88, of Tiverton, RI, passed away on Dec. 11, 2017. He was the husband of the late Georgiana (Swass) Mullins. Born in Coal City, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Amelia (Jarrell) and George W. Mullins Sr. He had served in the US Navy during the Korean War and also worked as a Planning and estimator supervisor at the Newport naval base. He is survived by his sons George W. Mullins III (Wife Christine Brogan) and Philip Carvalho (Wife Shirley). He was the father of the late Robert Carvalho. He also leaves a granddaughter Cheryl Ramos and a great grandson Jared Ramos.In addition he leaves his siblings Dora Lee, Linda, Ben and Ronald. He was predeceased by siblings James, Cecil, Betty, John Louie and Daniel.
George was a simple man. His greatest joys were his family, friends, and his service to the country which he recently celebrated with an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. He also had the ability to repair absolutely anything.
He was a member of Holy Ghost Parish. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 19th from 4 to 7 PM.
