Gertrude Howarth, 94, of Fall River, passed away in her home on September 18, 2014. She was the wife of the late John E. Howarth. They were married 67 years. A lifelong resident of this city and an inspiration to many, she was the daughter of the late Marie Delima (Bolduc) Bibeau, and sister of the late Edna (Bibeau) Peckham and the late Joseph Bibeau. She is survived by 4 children, Carolyn Fidgeon (husband Kevin), Donald Howarth (wife Paulette), John A. Howarth, and Cheryl Dwyre (husband Richard) as well as 2 foster daughters Lora Craveiro, and Sharon (Craveiro) Ahern and their families, a niece Deborah (Peckham) Manchester (husband Ralph) and their family. She leaves 11 grandchildren Jennifer (Fidgeon) Cassinelli, Michael Fidgeon, John P. Fidgeon, Megan (Fidgeon) Remmel, Donald Howarth Jr., Daniel Howarth, Ashley Dwyre, Kate Dwyre, Cole Dwyre, Asawnie Moorehouse, and Joseph Howarth. She also leaves 12 great-grandchildren Mikenna Fidgeon, Max Fidgeon, Faith Fidgeon, Kevin Casinelli, Carley (CC) Casinelli, Chase Fidgeon, Jack Fidgeon, Una Fidgeon, Kassidy Howarth, Nicholas Howarth, Emily Grace Howarth, and Jack Howarth. A memorial service will be held at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River on FRIDAY, September 26, 2014 at 10am.
