Gladys W. (Pontifice) Couturier 89 of Fall River, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Friday. She was the wife of the late Albert E. Couturier to whom she was married to for 55 years. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Gladys (Ramos) and Joseph Pontifice. She had previously worked as a Salesclerk for the former McCrory's Department Store. Gladys was a communicant of St. Theresa's Parish in Tiverton.
She is survived by nieces and nephews; Judith P. Higgins, Joseph A. Pontifice, Janice Calise, Anthony Pontifice, Joanne Pontifice, Andrew Pontifice, George Sowersby and Pamela Brooks. She is also survived by many great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings John Pontifice, Joseph Pontifice and Andrew Pontifice. Visitation TUESDAY prior to her Funeral from 8 to 9:30 am at the A F ALMEIDA & SON FUNERAL HOME 1309 Globe St, Fall River with a 10am Mass at St Theresa Church.
