She graduated from RI College with a BA in film and photography and received her Masters in Film from Emerson College in Boston posthumously.  Prior to her illness, in her spare time, Holly loved to hike, mountain climb, kayak and hang out with her friends.  She was also an avid reader.  In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandmother Marilyn Aguiar and was the granddaughter of the late maternal grandfather John F. Aguiar, Her paternal grandmother Leotildes Mello and  was the paternal granddaughter of the late Jose Mello.  She also leaves several aunts, uncles, cousins and countless amazing friends.
