James William Bodnar Jr. 68 of Tiverton, RI died on March 15th. He was the husband of the late Rosemarie Janet (Gorlo) Bodnar.
Born in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late Alice (Tracycz) and James William Bodnar. Prior to his retirement, he had worked
in Communications for Amtrack. He had served in the US Navy as a Submarine Sonar System Technician. He was the recipient
of the National Defense Service Medal, the Meritorius Unit Commendation and the Presidential Unit Commendation.
He was a member of the Tiverton Lions Club and was a Euclid Advocate.
He is survived by 2 daughters Heather Bodnar and Michelle Murphy and grandchildren Zachary Bodnar, Samantha Murphy, Roman Murphy, Amanda Murphy, and Alexander Murphy. He also leaves 2 brothers Thomas Bodnar and Donald Bodnar. Visitation THURSDAY from 6-8PM at the POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI. His Funeral will be held FRIDAY at 9am from the Funeral Home with a Mass at 10am at St Theresa Church with Military Honors. Burial will be private. www.almeida-pocasset.com
