James V. Rezendes Sr. 93 of Fall River, MA passed away on May 20, 2022.  He was the husband of Dorothy (Bonus) Rezendes the love of his life for 71 years.  Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Ersebel (Medeiros) and Mariano Rezendes.  Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a Machine operator for J & J Corrugated Box Corporation.  He had served in the US Army during the Korean War.  In addition to his wife, he leaves a son James V. Rezendes Jr. and his wife Karen of Tiverton, and Susan Guilmette and her husband Raymond of Fall River; five grandchildren, Keri Rezendes (Kevin), Eric Guilmette (Courtney), Casie Loper (Matt), Stephanie Costa (Kevin) and Kaitlin Rezendes (Justin); and eight great-grandchildren, Mia, Brady, Ella, Wesley, Mason, Van, Ethan and Levi.  He was the best patriarch of a great family who enjoyed camping, talking about his younger days in the service and most of all spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Elvira Abreu and Frank Rezendes. His Funeral will be held on FRIDAY June 17th at 10am  with a Mass at Good Shepherd Church on S. Main St., Fall River where he was a communicant.  Burial of cremains to be held at Newport Memorial Park, Middletown, RI with Military Honors.
