Jane Anna (Kacyznska) Wenc passed away peacefully at the Catholic Memorial Home on April 30, 2015 with her oldest son by her side. She was born at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River, MA on June 23, 1921 and was predeceases by her husband John Eugene Wenc in 1980, and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
She leaves behind 2 sisters, Helen Wojtowicz and Stephanie Kacyznska, her 5 children, John J. Wenc of Greenville NH, Joan S. Gardner (husband Bruce) of Putnam, CT, Fred R. Wenc (wife Debbie) of Pace, FL, Susan Hendryx (husband Russell) of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Judith Wenc of Swansea, MA.
Jane was a devout Catholic and a lifetime member of Holy Cross Parish, a member of its Holy Rosary Society and was a recipient of the Marion Medal.
She loved having her 10 grandchildren visit and cherished her 5 great-grandchildren.
Jane enjoyed doing all kinds of needlework, gardening in her yard, reading, any church activity and rearranging her photo album with their thousand of pictures. She was an avid crossword puzzle fan and did them daily in ink. She greatly appreciated it when friends and younger members of the parish visited and helped her to church. She loved dining out with relatives and was always up for Polish food. She especially enjoyed time spent with her sisters.
She loved music and listened to operas, hymns, her granddaughter on the flute and assorted favorites.
Jane worked in the Garment Industry when she was young, but made her family her life's work and did a very good job of it. She was always cheerful and helpful and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Visitation MONDAY from 5-8 PM. Her Funeral will be held TUESDAY at 9am from the A F ALMEIDA & SON FUNERAL HOME 1309 Globe St, Fall River, with a 10am Mass at Holy Cross Church.
