Joao P. daSilva 67 of Smith St, Fall River and formerly of Rodman St, died on Sunday. He was the husband of Maria Ilda (Melo) daSilva. Born in Faial da Terra, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of Maria Ilda (Pereira) daSilva of Fall River and the late Manuel daSilva. He had formerly worked in Quality Control at Vanguard Sailboats of Rhode Island. He had served as an Army Nurse in Portugal. In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves a daughter Ana Araujo (Husband Richard) and 3 grandchildren Bradley, Samantha and Tiffany. He also leaves a brother Manuel daSilva (Wife Lurdes) and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation FRIDAY 5-8 PM. His Funeral will be held SATURDAY at 8am from the A F ALMEIDA & SON
