John M. Patota, Sr. 41, of Pawtucket, died December 20, 2025 at the Miriam Hospital.  He was the loving husband of Crystal Herrera.  Born in Newport, he was a son of Michael J. Patota of Arizona and the late Lisa A. (DiSanto) DiBenedetto.

John was employed as a mechanic in the automotive industry for many years.  He loved music, cars, and was a talented handyman.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his loving children: Jacob A. Herrera, Amber L. Patota, John M. Patota, Jr., Joseph J. Patota, and Annabella L. Patota, all of Pawtucket.  He was the brother of Michael Patota of Texas, Victoria DiBenedetto of North Carolina, and stepson of Frank DiBenedetto of New Hampshire.   Cherished grandson of Eleanor Curry & Her husband George of Portsmouth, James & Marlene Nunnery of Portsmouth.  He also leaves many aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Amanda M. Souza of Tiverton.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 462 Main Road, Tiverton, RI.  Burial will follow in Pocasset Hill Cemetery.
