Jose Moniz Pereira 77 of Fall River, passed away Wednesday. He was the husband of Maria Fatima (Mauricio) Pereira. Born in Capellas, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Clotilte (Moniz Souza) and Manuel Pereira. He had worked as a Sander at Tillotson-Pearson Boats until the age of 70. He was a communicant of Espirito Santo Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Connie Freitas of Somerset, John Pereira of Fall River and Lucy Pereira of Fall River. He was the father of the late Andrea Pereira. He also leaves his grandchildren Alexander Freitas, Cameron Freitas, Kathy Pereira, Victoria Pereira, Scarlet Pereira, Andrea Rodriguez, Kandra Zayas and Miguel Zayas. He was the brother of the late Manuel and Antonio Pereira. Visitation FRIDAY 5-8 PM. His Funeral will be held SATURDAY at 8 am from the A F ALMEIDA & SON FUNERAL HOME 1309 Globe St Fall River with a 9 am Mass at Espirito Santo Church.
