Jose De Sousa, 95, of Fall River, died March 1, 2026 at St. Anne's Hospital.  He was the loving husband of Maria (Silva) De Sousa.  Born in Luzinde, Portugal, he was a son of the late Alberto De Sousa and Beatriz (Gomes) De Sousa.

Mr. De Sousa was a cement finisher in the construction industry for many years.   Prior to coming to the United States, he proudly served in the Portuguese Army as a Field Medic, being stationed in Angola and Mozambique.

He was a Communicant of Good Shepherd Church in Fall River.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his loving children: Jorge De Sousa & his partner Deborah Vieira of Fall River and Lucia D. Falcon & her husband Mark Falcon of Fall River.  Cherished grandfather of Zachary Falcon and Joshua Falcon of Fall River.  He was the brother of the late Amadeu De Sousa and Serafim De Sousa.

His Funeral will be held Friday, March 6, 2026 at 8:45 AM from A.F. ALMEIDA & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1309 Globe Street, Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Good Shepherd Church, 1598 South Main Street, Fall River.  Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will be appreciated.
