Kathleen Marie Graves, 64 years young, of Tiverton passed away peacefully on May 7, 2012
surrounded by her family and listening to her beloved Red Sox win one for her. She was the daughter of the late Leon and Catherine Raymond. She was the most loving mother to three wonderful children who will miss her more than anyone could imagine. She also leaves her brother, Kenneth Raymond, sister-in-law Pauline Raymond, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
"Mom was the matriarch of our family and was the glue, inspiration and the light that guided us through life. She gave so much of herself to us and always put her children and grandchildren first. She was the happiest when all her family was gathered together, just sitting at the beach watching the boats go by or by numerous trips aboard the Bay Queen during the summer months. She was truly a remarkable woman. If her body had been as strong as her mind, she would of lived to be 100. She was actively involved in all the things she enjoyed, especially singing in the choir that she was a part of for more than 25 years, right to the end of her earthly life. While we are sad, we know we must go on. And that is what Mom would want us to do. We have enough wonderful memories and funny stories to last a lifetime - until we meet again. Mom had two very special people in her life for over the past 30 years and we are so grateful for all the care, friendship, kindness and love that Bob and Colleen Taylor have given to Mom. They will always remain a huge part of our family and please know that there were no others like you both that could made Mom smile the way she did when she talked about all the adventures you took her on." Her memory will live on through her children, Lisa Ferreira (husband Rodney) of Fall River, MA., Tracy Dame (husband Douglas) of Lincoln, RI, and Michael Graves (wife Bethany) of Merrimack, NH and her grandchildren Amy, Emily and Gavin. Visitation THURSDAY 4-7 PM. Her Funeral will be held FRIDAY at 9am from the POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 462 Main Rd, Tiverton with a 10am Mass at St Barnabas Church, Portsmouth, RI.
