Lilotina J. (Almeida) Gomes, better known as "Lil" 88 of Little Compton, RI died on Monday. She was the wife of the late Walter J. Gomes Sr. Born in Little Compton, RI, she was the daughter of the late Marianna (Alves) and Louis Almeida. She had worked as Sewing Machine Operator in the Garment Industry for over 20 years. She was a member of the Calvary Temple, Assemby of God.
She is survived by 2 sons Robert Gomes and Rickie Gomes and was the mother of the late Walter J. Gomes Jr. and Gordon L. Gomes. She also leaves her daughter-in-laws Eileen Gomes, Debra Gomes, Linda Gomes and Cheryl Gomes. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Walter J. Gomes III. In addition, she is survived by her sisters Emily Poisson, Mariana Proulx and Amelia Marusa. She also leaves many friends and her church family.
