Lorraine (Cordeiro) Alves 72 of Fall River, MA died on Wednesday. She was the wife of George R. Alves
to whom she was married to for 49 years. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late
Sarah (Machado) and Manuel Cordeiro. She was 1959 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School. Prior to her retirement, Lorraine had worked as a Senior Medical Clerk at the Dept. of Health for the City of Fall River for 43 years. She was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish. In addition to her husband and his family, she will be sadly missed by her caretaker/sister-in-law Natalie Mello. She also leaves several cousins, nieces and nephews.
