Lorraine (Freitas) Amaral 81 of Florida and formerly of Tiverton died on Saturday. She was the widow of Manuel Amaral Jr.
Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Andrade) and Antone Freitas. She had worked as a Secretary
at Raytheon for 35 years before retiring in 1995. She is survived by a son Manuel Amaral III and 2 daughters Cathy Amaral and Diane Amaral , along with 3 grandchildren Christy Belise, Edmund J. Belisle and Alicia Belisle. In addition she leaves 3 greatgrandchildren, J.J., Collin and Jennifer, along with many nieces, nephews and friends who loved her. She was a member of Holy Ghost Church for many years when she resided in Tiverton. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren at Walt Disney and Sea World. In addition to loving being with her family, she also enjoyed doing crafts and going out to restaurants.
She was the mother of the late Sandra Briere and Steven Amaral. She was the sister of the late Charles Freitas and Antone Freitas.
Visitation at the POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI from 8:30 to 9:30am TUESDAY morning prior to the Funeral Mass at Good Shepherd Church, Fall River at 10am. Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. www.almeida-pocasset.com
