Louise Judith ( Stone) Murray, 86 of Tiverton, daughter of the late Delia and Joseph Stone, and wife of the late Raymond Murray passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Louise was also the sister of the late Nancy Witt, Virginia O' Brien, and Rita Borden. Louise was a beloved grandmother who devoted her to time to those she loved, as well as her community. She was a devoted member of Saint Christopher's church where she served as a CCD teacher for many years. Louise was an advocate for Right to Life agencies, and enjoyed spending time with her family as well as ballroom dancing with her husband. She also enjoyed reading the newspaper and auto biographies, as well as discovering her history by doing her genealogy. Louise spent much of her later years working on the Stephen A. Murray scholarship fund, which provided scholarships to help students attend college. She married Raymond in July of 1955 and raised six loving children. She was totally dedicated to her children in every aspect of their lives. She was the loving mother of daughter Kelley, and husband David, Tom and wife Tonya, Brian, John, Raymond and wife Jackie, as well as the late Stephen A. Murray. Louise also leaves behind 22 grandchildren, and 13 great- grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday June 28, 2017 at Pocasset Funeral Home, 462 Main Road Tiverton, RI, from 8am-10am Visitation and Service at 10am. The burial will follow immediately after at the Pocasset Hill cemetery. A memorial Mass will be held at Saint Mary's Cathedral on Thursday July 6, 2017 at 10:00am to celebrate her life. www.almeida-pocasset.com
