It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Madeline Byrne of Whispering Pines, NC, who passed away on December 15, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Joseph C Machado and Amelia Farias.

Born on December 27, 1942, in Fall River, Madeline lived a life filled with love and kindness.  Madeline was a devout catholic and was a greeter at her local parish and made friends with everyone.

She was the beloved wife of James N Byrne.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Her kindness, strength, and faith guided her, and she touched the lives of all who knew her.

Besides her husband of 59 years, Madeline is survived by her children, David Byrne and wife Lori Ann, James Byrne , William Byrne (predeceased), Grandchildren Leanne Parker (husband Erron) and Ashley Byrne, great grandchildren Logan and Savannah Parker.

She was the sister of Robert Machado (wife Shirley) of Pawtucket RI, Bernadette Botelho, Susan Dootson (husband Donald-predeceased) of Fall River MA, Beverly McCarthy deceased of Fall River MA, Theresa Binette predeceased (husband Paul) of Westport MA, Rosemary Machado of Fall River MA, and Claudette Cooper (husband Tom) of Fall River MA

Memorial Urn Services will be held on Saturday January 11, 2025, with A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Holy Ghost Church in Tiverton RI.  Burial services will be private to immediate family.
