Antonio Forte

Antonio Forte, age 81, passed away on March 25, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Casal Vasco, Portugal he was the husband of Perpetua (Costa) Forte and the son of the late Antonio and Cecelia (Mello) Forte.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Francis, Sue, and Michael, step-children Steven, Tina, and Kyle, siblings; Armando and Armenda, 6 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Germano.

Antonio was the owner of Fall River Aluminum, former President of Academica Club, played soccer for Lusitano Club in Cumberland RI, and was a parishioner of Holy Cross Chapel.

William F. Frado

SOMERSET, MA –William F. Frado, 101, a lifelong resident of Somerset passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at his residence. He was the husband for seventy-three years to Mary (Tavares) Frado. William was born in Somerset, the son of the late Antone and Isabel (Martin) Frado.

He graduated from Somerset High School, class of 1930. Mr. Frado worked on his family's farm his entire life. Bill was passionate about farming and educating his family. He loved being around people and was known for his good sense of humor.

Survivors besides his wife are a daughter: Rosemary Frado-Carmona and her husband Rafael of Sarasota, FL; two sons: William F. Frado and his wife Jane of Williamstown, MA; Thomas M. Frado and his wife Ling-Ling of Salem, OR; four grandchildren: William, Elizabeth, Julia and Elizabeth; four great grandchildren: Hunter, Maria, Jason and Jessica; along with many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria Lord, Josephine Ferry, Virginia Butler, and of Joseph, Anthony and John Frado.

FALL RIVER, MA –Janet M. (Pacheco) Hyson, 81, of Fall River passed away on Saturday March 22, 2014 at the Kimwell Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Arthur Hyson. Janet was born in Westport the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Ledo) Pacheco. She worked for HASBRO as an assembler for many years. She was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish in Fall River and cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

Survivors are two daughters: Rene "Shirley" Purcell and her husband John of Tiverton, RI; Deborah Dias of Fall River, MA; a son: David Hyson and his wife Darlene of Rehoboth, MA; a step daughter: Joyce Cinquini of Fall River, MA; three step sons: Arthur Hyson of Tiverton, RI; James Hyson of Florida; Carl Hyson of Fall River, MA; many grand and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Robert Hyson and the sister of the late Mae Croke, Wilhelmina Baldaia, Lillian Robitale, and Manuel Pacheco.

Rebekah Elisabeth Morse

Rebekah Elisabeth (Aguiar) Morse, 34, of Boise, Idaho, formerly of Fall River, passed away Thursday. She was the wife of David Morse of Boise, ID, formerly of Dartmouth, MA.

Becky was born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of Kevin Aguiar of Dartmouth and Debra (Cabral) Guay of Little Compton.

Page 6 of 6 - Rebekah was a graduate of Bishop Connolly High School Class of 2002. She also was a graduate of Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA earning a degree in biology graduating in 2006. She also earned a degree in finance and accounting from the UMASS Dartmouth. She later went on to the FBI Academy at Quantico graduating in 2010.

Special Agent Rebekah E. Morse worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Prior she had worked as an investment counselor for Putnam Investments of Boston.

Besides her husband and parents she is survived by a brother, Joshua Guay of Fall River; a sister, Joyel Peixoto of New Bedford; maternal grandmother, Joan Hampton of Fall River, paternal grandmother, Elvira Aguiar of Tiverton; a niece Hannah and a nephew Gavin; stepmother, Kathleen Keay, stepfather, Peter Guay, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She was the granddaughter of the late Anthony Aguiar and Bernie Hampton.

Norman L. Rivard

SOMERSET, MA –Norman L. "Tiger" Rivard, 91, Ret. FRFD, late of Ladder 1 and Engine 6, and a resident of Somerset passed away on Sunday March 23, 2014 at the Clifton Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Somerset. He was the husband of sixty years to Barbara (Soares) Rivard. Norman was born in Fall River the son of the late Lucien and Alma (Belanger) Rivard. He was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School class of 1942 and was Captain of the men's varsity basketball team his junior and senior years. Mr. Rivard served his country during WWII with the United States Navy. Norman worked for the City of Fall River Fire Department for thirty-four years until his retirement in 1987. Mr. Rivard was a member of Baker's Beach Club in Westport, where he spent numerous summer days at the beach. Norman was also an avid car enthusiast and collector. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. Survivors are two daughters: Carol A. Geller and her husband David of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Anne F. Hill and her husband Stephen of Tolland, CT; two sons: Prof. David A. Rivard and his wife Michaela Sullivan of Cambridge, MA; Somerset Fire Chief Stephen J. Rivard Ret. (Denise Borges) of Somerset, MA; five grandchildren: Michael and Stephanie Geller, Simone Rivard, Coleman and Noah Hill; along with two nieces.
