Manuel DeMedeiros 87 of Plymouth Ave, Fall River, MA died on Thursday. He was the widower of Lorraine
(Mello) DeMedeiros. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Maria (Mendonca) and Manuel Teixeira
DeMedeiros. Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a machine operator at Sterling Pile and was a member of Good Shepherd Parish. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree. Fr. Boehr, the former Portuguese Alliance Benevolent Assoc. and the VFW Post 5392. He had served in the US Marine Corp. until he was medically discharged. He had received Special Recognition from the Knights
for his Tootsie Roll Collection. He is survived by his children, Manuel DeMedeiros Jr. of Fall River, Edwin DeMedeiros of Somerset, Lorraine Moniz of Fall River, Michael DeMedeiros of Somerset and Carlton DeMedeiros of Fall River, along with 12 grandchildren, 7 greatgrandchildren and 1 greatgreatgrandchild.
He was the father of the late Linda Susan DeMedeiros. He also leaves a sister Lena Vieira of Florida
and was predeceased by siblings Odelia Barboza, Noemia Pacheco, Antero Medeiros and Judite Medeiros.
