Manuel Raposo Moreira 85, formerly of Stafford Rd, Tiverton, RI died on Tuesday. He was the husband of
Maria Gloria (Couto) Moreira of Tiverton. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Evelina (Moniz) and David Raposo Moreira.
He had formerly worked as a Foreman in Construction at the Cardi Corporation and was a communicant of St. Theresa's Parish.
He was a member of the Liberal Club and the St. John's Athletic Club. He had served in the Portuguese Army.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children David Moreira of Tiverton, Evelyn Kennedy of Randolph, Manuel Moreira Jr. of New Bedford,
Gloria Combs of Fall River. Michael Moreira of Boston and Bento Moreira of Rehoboth, along with 12 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren.
