Maria Gloria (Carreiro) Afonso 97 of Fall River, died on Sunday. She was the widow of Manuel M. Afonso. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Maria (Raposo) and Jose Carreiro. A Homemaker, she is survived by a son Joao Afonso and was the mother of the late Alda Gaudencio and Manuel C. Afonso. She also leaves 2 grandchildren Delia Lima (Her caretaker) and Andrew Afonso , along with 5 great grandchildren and 2 greatgreatgrandchildren. She also leaves her sister Noemia Cabral. She was the sister of the late Joao Carreiro, Angelo Carreiro and Manuel Carreiro.
