Maria Conceicao (Pestana) Arruda 96 of Fall River, and formerly of Tower St., died on Monday. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Arruda.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Leopoldina (Rodrigues) and John Pestana. Prior to her retirement. she had worked as a Presser for Shelburne
Shirt for many years and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U.. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish and was a caregiver for many years. She is survived by a son Robert Arruda (wife Linda) , 2 grandchildren Sean Douglas Arruda ( wife Tanya) and Jamie Marie Butterworth. She also leaves her great grandchildren Jaden and Cole Arruda & Collin and Gavin Butterworth, along with nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alice Pestana and Manuel Pestana.
Visitation THURSDAY 4 to 7 PM. Her Funeral will be held FRIDAY at 9am from the A F Almeida & Son Funeral Home 1309 Globe St., Fall River with a 10am Mass at Holy Trinity Church.
