Maria Emerenciana (Lopes) DaPonte, 84 passed away Monday at Catholic Memorial Home, She was the wife of the late Jaime Daponte. Born in St Michael, Azores she was the daughter of the late Serafim and Gilda (Araujo) Lopes. A resident of Fall river since 1971 she retired as a machine operator from Whaling Manufacturing. She is survived by a daughter Madalena and (husband John) Velho of Fall River.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday May 2, 2013 at 8:00 am from the A F ALMEIDA & Son Funeral Home 1309 Globe Street Fall River with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at Good Shepherd Church Fall River, MA. Visitation for relatives and friends on Wednesday from 6 - 8 pm, Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery.
