Maria DoCarmo (Portela) DaSilva 84 of Fall River, MA passed away on Sunday, Dec. 24th. Born in Beira Baixa, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Maria Jose (Fernandes) and Manuel Ramos Portela. Prior to her retirement, she was the founder of Lisbon Seafood. She was a member of St. Theresa's Parish. She is survived by a son Victor M. DaSilva (Daughter-in-law Nellie C. DaSilva) and 6 grandchildren Chantel, Chloe and Victor DaSilva II along with Anabela, Yvon and Amelia Nguyen. She was the mother of the late Anabela DaSilva Nguyen and mother-in-law of the late Bobby Nguyen. She also leaves 2 sisters Isaura Palmer and Mary Jose Mateus. She was the sister of the late Emilia Silveira, Manuel Portela and Conceicao Aguiar. Visitation Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM. Her Funeral will be held Thursday at 8am from the A F Almeida & Son Funeral Home 1309 Globe St., Fall River, MA with a 9am Mass at St. Theresa's Church.
