Maria Ilda (Resendes DeMelo) DaSilva 68 of Westport, MA died on Monday. She was the wife of the late Joao P. DaSilva.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Maria Ilda (Resendes) and Antonio DeMelo.
She had formerly worked as a Floor Lady at Chace Curtains and was a member of Espirito Santo Church.
She is survived by a daughter Ana Araujo and her husband Richard, a grandson Bradley Batista, 2 grandaughters Samantha DeBella and Tiffany Araujo along with a great grandson Conner Lambert. In addition she leaves siblings Lurdes DaSilva, Claudiana Melo, Humbert DeMelo, Nascimento DeMelo and the late Conceicao DeMelo. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Visitation THURSDAY 5-8 PM. Her Funeral will be held FRIDAY at 8am from the A F ALMEIDA & SON FUNERAL HOME
