Maria D. Rebelo, 86, of Fall River, died peacefully on June 9, 2026 at St. Anne's Hospital.  She was the loving wife of Joaquim M. Rebelo.  Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Joao Melo and Maria da Conceicao (Rodrigues) Melo.

Mrs. Rebelo was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her loving children, Margarida R. Laureano & her husband Jose of Fall River and Roberto da Silva & his wife Maria of Sao Miguel, Azores.  She was the mother of the late Carlos Moniz.  Cherished grandmother of four grandchildren.   She was the sister of Maria Castanha of New Bedford and Gilda Castanha of Sao Miguel, Azores.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 10:00 to 12:00 P.M. with a service to follow in A.F. ALMEIDA & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1309 Globe Street, Fall River, MA.  Burial will be private.
