Marianno "Biff" Dias 80, of Tiverton, passed away on Sunday. He was the husband of Barbara Ann (Perry)
Dias. Born in Tiverton, he was the son of the late Emily (Medeiros) and Manuel P. Dias.
Prior to his retirement in 1988 he was the Deputy Chief of the Tiverton Police Department.
He was appointed in 1981 and has started with the department in 1968.
He served with the US Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 5392.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Cheryl Dean (Husband Donny) and a son
Wayne Dias (Wife Susan). He was the father of the late Randy Dias. He also leaves a grandaughter
Christy Vieira and a sister Sarah Baldaia, along with several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Oliveira, John Dias and Peter Dias.
Visitation THURSDAY 4-8 PM. His Funeral will be held FRIDAY at 9am from the POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI with a 10am Mass at St Theresa's Church.
