Obituary

Martha C. (Wordell) Wood, 74 of Tiverton, RI, passed away on Tuesday February 18, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Santos) Wordell and Harold Wordell.  She was a certified nursing assistant for many years and former co owner of Village Laundry.  She enjoyed Bingo, sea glassing and spending time with her grandchildren.  Besides her husband Donald, she leaves behind three children Stephanie Wood of Tiverton, Brendon Wood of Jamaica Plain and Robert Rego (wife Lori) of Fall River.  She also leaves her grandchildren Ethan, Austin, Aidan, Addison and Kyle.  In addition her siblings Elizabeth Snell of Fl, Henry Wordell of ME, Judy Oliver, Brenda Pacheco and Donna Cabral of Fall River, Beverly Travis of Middletown and Eldridge "Butch" Wordell of Portsmouth, along with many nieces and nephews.  She  was also the sister of the late Ruth Leite and Harold Wordell Jr. She will be remembered for her carefree spirit, stubborness and simply the love she had for her family.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Southcoast Cancer Center for their kindness and compassion.  Visitation will be held on  Feb. 22nd, Saturday from 10am to 1PM at the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI with a Service at  12:30PM.    .
